Shenandoah Joe is a coffee roasting business located in Charlottesville, VA. It has three coffee shop locations and has the following mission: “At Shenandoah Joe it has always been All About the Joe. Looking to open a coffee house we wanted to create a relaxed place to share out passion about coffee and to foster a community espresso bar. A place where people of all walks of life could hang out, work, converse and connect with one another over a fine cup of coffee”
Culinary concepts ab
Culinary Concepts AB was established to make a lasting impact on individuals aspiring towards hospitality careers, especially those who may have been marginalized. Recognizing the limitations of the traditional culinary education system, CCAB sought to create a more inclusive and empowering training model that focuses on teaching both life skills and occupational expertise.
Eltzroth and Thompson Greenhouses
Eltzroth & Thompson is a family owned and operated Greenhouse. Located immediately off of 29, Eltzroth has a beautiful property and greenhouse showcasing their flowers and plants. Over 40 years old, Eltzroth is successful at retaining their current customers, but struggling to gain the attention of new ones. This is Eltzroth’s first year with Enactus.
Bluebird + Co
Bluebird + Co is a clothing, book, and home store located in Crozet. They offer southern, well designed women’s clothing and as well as a wide range of reading options. Bluebird’s deeply involved with their community hosting book clubs, pop-up events, and peer small business coaching. This is Bluebird’s first year with Enactus.
city of promise
City of Promise is a non-profit supporting the Charlottesville community through child-centered, dual generation, family self sufficiency initiatives. They offer youth mentoring, literacy initiatives, and wraparound family services. They are partnered with Charlottesville City Schools, UVA, the Salvation Army and many other key stakeholders. This is City of Promise’s first year with Enactus.
c’ville arts cooperative gallery
Gifts on Grounds, owned by a UVA mom and graduate, partners with local businesses to deliver special packages to students. For example, parents can have birthday baskets or an “under the weather” basket delivered to their kid. This is Gift on Grounds’ first year with Enactus.

C’ville Arts Cooperative Gallery is an artisan storefront located on the downtown mall selling the works of over 50 different local Virginia artists and craftsman. C’ville Arts makes money by both hosting artists and selling their art. This is C’ville Arts’ first year with Enactus.
camp holiday trails
Located in Charlottesville, VA, Camp Holiday Trails is a nonprofit year-round camp for children and teens with medical needs and their siblings. Since 1974, CHT has been building community, resilience, and joy through inclusive, medically-supported camp experiences for families across the Mid-Atlantic region.
the strength initiative
The Strength Initiative is a non profit gym designed to get more women into weightlifting and strength training regardless of age, income, or race. Started by physicians last April, they teach science backed strength training to help women become stronger and more independent. This is the Strength Initiative’s first year with Enactus.
charlottesville community bikes
Charlottesville Community Bikes is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) bicycle shop that promotes environmentally-sound transportation, recycles bicycles, and makes cycling accessible. They sell new and refurbished bikes, do repairs, teach a bike mechanics workshop, and donate old bikes to those in need. This is Charlottesville Bikes’ first year with Enactus.
